Tagliacozzo is around a 1 hour 15 minutes drive from Abruzzo Villas and well worth a day trip to explore this Medieval gem. Tagliacozzo has also won the title of one of Italy’s most beautiful villages (i borghi piu belli d’Italia) Talgiacozzo main square is Piazza dell’Obelisco, named because of its obelisk shaped fountain. Another main site to explore includes the Palazzo Ducale which is a typical example of Abruzzo civil architecture
